Pretend you have more CD/DVD drives than you do
Mounting images on a Virtual CD/DVD drive is pretty handy. I tried Magic ISO to first create a virtual drive. Turns out it needed something called 'MagicDisc'. MagicISO itself was sweet enough to link me to the page where I could download that extra bit of software. Then first I set the number of drives. You can set it to as many as 5 drives I think! I set it to 1 for testing. Then in Magic ISO go to Tools->Virtual CD/DVD options and then choose the drive where you want to mount an image. Then choose the image you want to mount - it has an accepted list of image types. I tried a .bin image and it nicely mounted it as a CD drive and auto play options came up. Pretty efficient. I don't know if there are better software to mount images but this one sure works.

How to listen to audio from ISO image
I got hold of an ISO image that supposedly contained many audio tracks. But initially I had no idea how to get it all out. I tried playing the ISO file directly with VLC media player but that didn't work. I learned that there were other media players but I think you had to buy it (correct me if I'm wrong) and though there might have been trial versions I wanted to be able to listen to it all the time - not just when the media player software was in the trial period.
Then I came across some software that could extract audio and/or video files from an ISO image and I tried a few of those until I came across one that worked: MagicISO. Here are the instructions on using this software: http://www.magiciso.com/tutorials/miso-isoextractorwin.htm. Even though this software was offered for a small trial period we can extract any number of files before the term expires. I extracted from a 4.2GB ISO image.
